Blouses, ballet flats, and internships

Thursday, November 29, 2012

I'm in the midst of my six week winter break, and instead of relaxing and sleeping in every day, I'm working 40+ hours a week in retail and at my internship. Only three more weeks until I get some me-time in Michigan.

While I'm not working, I'm applying for more internships for the winter, spring, and summer! I'm so eager to gain more experience in the PR and marketing world and I'm very anxious to hear back from the firms I've applied to. Filling out all these applications and writing cover letters reminds me of one essential tool every intern needs: a professional, yet fashionable, wardrobe. I'm already picturing myself walking through a marble-floored lobby in some of my favorite ensembles.

So for tonight, I've put together one of my ideal looks for a day at an internship. I like to keep things pretty neutral, but add a pop of color and pattern to make my outfit unique and stylish. Here are some of my favorites from J.Crew, Madewell, Fossil, Old Navy, and American Rag

What's your favorite look to wear to work or an internship?

Wish me luck!
