Laugh Without Fear of the Future

I have definitely been overwhelmed in the last couple of weeks. Taking on senior year, a new internship, new projects, and new leadership positions on campus are starting to take a toll on my sanity. Whenever I feel a bit of doubt, however, I think about the rewards from my hard work; I'm so blessed to be in these roles and I was put in them for a reason. This is one of my favorite verses to inspire me to keep going through stressful times!

How do you manage the stress of being an active leader, full-time student, and part-time employee? I just need to make it to December. Then I can relax a little! Until then, making sure I make time for myself and others!

  1. As a new graduate, I completely understand the stress of senior year. Now that I am out in the real world though, I would encourage you to savor every minute of senior year! You'll realize after graduation that maybe getting a B rather than an A on that test wouldn't be so bad if it means you get to make a fun memory with your friends. Especially being involved in a sorority, I remember my calendar filling up and being ready to pass off leadership. Your sorority experience is one thing that you'll never get to relive after graduation, so cherish that time with your sisters! And when life gets really overwhelming this year, don't forget to count your blessings! You are getting a great education, working at a job you (hopefully!) love, and you live really close to all your best friends. Life may be stressful, but it could certainly be worse!

    Have a great year!

  2. I love this post and that quote is perfect!
When I have a lot to do I usually make a to do list and do all the larger things first then move onto the smaller ones.

  4. Love this verse!

I've been out of school since last December... unfortunately, life gets way, way more scary, hectic and confusing after undergrad. But with good friends and family, and with faith, you can make it! Just remember to stop and put things in perspective every so often. Sometimes the things you feel like are the hugest deal turn out not to be so bad. I always start my day by making a big to-do list, prioritizing tasks at work and trying to figure out what will be the "worst" thing I need to do that day... and tackling that first!

  5. I write down EVERYTHING that I need to do in my planner. That way I have a visual on the tasks that need to be accomplished. This also helps me decide on what I want to do first or something that I just want to get out of the way.

  6. This is one of my favorite verses. I truly strive to be a Proverbs 31 woman. Proverbs 31:30 is my favorite verse. "Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised."
