Girls' Weekend Getaway Essentials

Friday, August 21, 2015

As the summer is dwindling down, I'm enjoying every last ray of sunshine I can! Today, I'm headed up to Elkhart Lake, WI for an annual girls' weekend with some of my sorority sisters from college. This is one of my favorite trips of the year: we keep everything casual, wear minimal makeup and sit by the pool with drinks all day.

What am I toting with me to the cabin this weekend? Below are my girls' weekend essentials for keeping it fresh and casual:

RAY-BANS
Yes, I've submitted to the reflective colored Ray-Ban trend and I have ZERO shame! I've been wearing these blue reflective Ray-Bans since I purchased them at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. They are a must have for the summer!

BATHING SUIT
Again with the trends, I've been wearing this stylishly geometric Victoria's Secret bathing suit while I'm soaking up some sun.

TORY BURCH SANDALS
I've been living in these TB sandals all summer (mine actually have a white strap instead of cognac)! They are surprisingly comfortable for not having much shape and didn't kill my feet when I broke them in. Perfect for the pool or beach!

BENEFIT TINT
Like I said, I don't like wearing tons of makeup on my girls' weekends, so for blush and lip color I always use my Benefit tint to add a touch of color to my completion.

EMI JAY HAIR TIES
Emi Jay sent me a bunch of their hair ties last year and I LOVE LOVE LOVE them! Such a great way to add a pop of color or pattern to your pool attire.

TARTE SUNSCREEN LOTION
This sunscreen is a splurge on my end because I love all Tarte products, but any brand of sun protection is a must for a girls' weekend (especially for fair-skinned gals like me)!

GLAMGLOW MASK
After the pool and before a night out on the town, I love to give my skin a quick pick-me-up with a GlamGlow mask. If you haven't tried these yet, head to Sephora and pick up a sample!

DIOR BB CREAM
I've been raving about this Dior BB cream on my Twitter for the past few weeks and it's still my favorite BB cream to date. Besides it's impeccable smell, it gives me the perfect amount of coverage while still letting my freckles shine. Definitely worth the $45 investment!

MAC PAINT POT EYESHADOW
The nude shades of these eyeshadows are perfect for that "no makeup" makeup look. I've been using Chilled On Ice with a hint of shimmer in my barely there looks.
