My Favorite Products for Dry, Sensitive Skin

Friday, February 17, 2017

Have dry skin? Sensitive skin? Dry AND sensitive skin? Me too, girl. Me too. I've put my skin through the ringer and have tried so many different beauty products, but the products below always work for my Sahara-like, acne-prone, reaction-loving skin. If you're in the same boat, I'd recommend you'd give these a try.

To be honest, I'm not a primer girl. I don't like silicone clogging my pores nor do I need a flawless, Instagram-worthy complexion on a day-to-day basis. I DO, however, love a good glow underneath my foundation, and the only prime I keep going back to is this one. I did recently try the new lavender First Light primer by BECCA, but it honestly did nothing for me. If you're going to spend $38 on a glowing primer, this one is definitely the way to go.

My cousin, a Sephora employee, recommended this serum to me after I had a bad reaction to a serum with a high concentration of Vitamin C. The wild rose in this serum instantly calms irritated skin and it's gentle enough that it can be used directly under your eyes (no need for an additional eye cream)! I've already noticed my skin softening and brightening up, especially my under eyes!

I know - the price tag on this powder is shocking. But you guys, I've never EVER been so in love with a powder. I've always been hesitant to set my face after foundation. By the end of the day, my cheeks end up looking so dry, even in the summer. This powder, however, keeps me looking hydrating all day. And I love that it also controls my oily t-zone. This product is a god-send.

This is a recent discovery of mine after watching this video by Renee from The Gothamista. She's a industry skincare expert and I trust her recommendations 100%. Once she said this was a favorite, I immediately ordered it on Amazon Prime. This is an amazing first-cleanse product. It melts all gunk and grime from the day off so my skin can sink in more of my cleanser's benefits. And the scent of this is absolutely luxurious. I was shocked at how inexpensive this product was because it definitely feels like something you'd buy at a beauty counter.

I love using this rose mask a dry, winter days. It instantly adds moisture back into my skin and the scent of the product itself is so luxe and intoxicating. The Sephora Lotus Mask is also a favorite. At $6 each, why not try both?

When my skin is looking especially dull or just needs a pick-me-up I reach for this lemon mask. Aside from it actually smelling like real lemons, my favorite thing about this mask is the instant glow and plumpness it gives my skin. Another inexpensive product that absolutely blows me away.
